The Advanced Business Match (ABM) is an Indigenous company headquartered in Tla'amin, on the coast of what is now known as “British Columbia, Canada”. We eliminate the high costs and guesswork of conventional relationship development.
We are building a business community of deep relationships that sets the gold standard in ethical and effective business development online and in-person.
To create equitable prosperity for all by being the most culturally competent business development network in the world.
In 2012, the business was formed under the name “Aboriginal Business Match”. Its initial mission was to connect First Nations with mainstream business opportunities to support economic empowerment leading to self-determination.
Over the years, ABM has evolved into a forum for SMEs and communities where business is done by all with all. We rebranded to “Advanced Business Match” as we learned that the most powerful relationships emerge when diverse people, motivations, and businesses come together in the same value-aligned stream.
The business is owned by Katrin Harry (Jeh’Jeh’Ganak) and Qwastånayå (L. Maynard Harry). Katrin is originally from Germany. She has been in business with Maynard since 1997. Maynard is a former Chief Councillor, Councillor, Crown Land Referrals Manager, and Chair of his Nation’s Development Corporation.
It is ABM’s firm position that the integration of Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and relationship-building into mainstream business practices is imperative to having even the faintest chance of addressing climate change, the global slide into totalitarianism, and increasing economic inequality.
While we are a small business and frustrated with the lack of progress in the world, we believe in our power and the value of the tools we offer the ABM Community.
We do what we do because we believe that the combined strength of the ABM Community is a powerful force for good.
